Volunteers
If you enjoy working with children, getting to know different countries and cultures you are very welcome to help us develop and advance our school and Children’s Home. Volunteers need to be 18 years and over.
Fields of work
We offer many fields of work, we will always try to find the best field of work suited for you.
Here are some examples and specifications we are interested in.
Childcare at the Children’s Home
The children are aged between 5 months and up to 18 years this gives volunteers a broad spectrum of activities:
childcare of toddlers and infants
supporting and helping handicapped children
helping with homework and tutoring
assisting housekeeping
helping with renovations and construction
primary health care
having fun and assisting in every day leisure activities with all age groups.
Teaching and kindergarten
English is the official language in Ghana, but many children are still not able to communicate effectively in English that is why one of the main goals of the project is to help the children improve their English.
As of now there are 6 classes, typically a class has around 15 to 25 students. The kindergarten takes care of about 60 to 80 children.
Volunteers are kindly needed for:
assisting child care in the kindergarten
